In Honor of Mrs. Ruth Schulert:

Mrs. Ruth, one of our oldest. dearest friends, passed away recently. As a ministry, we would not be who we are without her vision for Sponsoring a child who otherwise would not have received a high level education. As individuals, we are hopeful that regardless of our age and our experiences, God is never finished with us. As founders, we are deeply honored to have counted Mrs. Ruth among one of our faithful friends and supporters in laboring in God's Kingdom.

In her lifetime, Mrs. Ruth travelled the world, and she loved teaching English. She found a special love for Guatemala, and her Legacy will continue to leave a mark on education here for many years to come. We will not forget that it is because of her that so many of our students have gone on to be influential men and women in their communities.

Thank you Mrs. Ruth and the Schulert family for honoring us and making us a part of her Legacy.

ABOUT THE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

Last year marked 25 years of the Inn School. 25 years of education, leadership training, making disciples and so much more. We have seen broken marriages restored, kids without hope of education go on to be business owners, and now a new generation of Christ Followers joining into ministry with us. We are excited about what the next 25 years hold.

Over the years we have been able to educate more than 700 students in our school, impact more than 20,000 kids through our public school program, and train hundreds of leaders from school superintendents to bank regional managers. God has been faithful.

We are seeing a brighter tomorrow in this new year. We are believing that over the next 25 years God would allow us to educate thousands of students, impact hundreds of thousands of children, and train thousands more leaders. It is our Goal to continue to leave a Legacy of the Glory of God. This is why to mark the beginning of a new 25 years, we are excited to announce the beginning of the Ruth Schulert Scholarship Fund!

Mrs. Ruth Schulert was the first person to sponsor a student at the Inn School and by doing so inspired the start of the Student Sponsorship program at the Inn. To date you have sponsored the education of more than 130 students at the Inn. Students who have gone on to become doctors, lawyers, engineers, business owners, pastors, and worship leaders! Together we believe we can continue Mrs. Ruth's Legacy!

With the funds raised for this scholarship fund, we can maintain our cutting edge education level all while welcoming many new students to our school. We are excited to see so many lives changed by the Ruth Schulert Scholarship Fund! Give your gift TODAY to share in the gift of Education for many years to come!

Recording Their Stories

Published Fri, Jan 26, 24. Written by Michael Lewis.

We decided to start recording their stories, hopefully to put into print in the future. This was our first day of recording. We recorded them in their native language of Pokomchí. From there we will translate to Spanish and then into English. This was day one of recording and we captured two beautiful yet heart-wrenching stories.

First we went to the home of dońa Herlinda Cal Laj. She’s been a widow for 3 years. Her husband took his life. She has 7 children but her 4 oldest boys work on looms making Cortes and work fields by the day for other folks. in the interview when we asked her what was her greatest need at the moment in time, she said that she was content and at peace.

Next we visited the widow Katarina Coy of 99 years-she lives with son and daughter in law (in Katarina’s home).

Dona Rosaria Cojoc Ical, lives with 1 son and 3 grands-need some boards for their walls that have potato sack bags and pieces of cardboard covering from elements. Could use a couple beds as she sleeps on the floor on two boards and the other 4 sleep in a bed smaller than a twin. Making a list of prices to submit.

Dońa Rosa Cal- she needs a new home. Her grandkids sold her land out from under her. She is homeless but has a small piece she can build on. Checking on helping her with this.
